Barrel Chucking for Revolving Head or Pickoff Attachment

This new Barrel chucking mechanism is now available for Davenport five spindle automatics. The solid bronze barrel cage and hardened steel cage washer allow this unit to be used with either 2 or 3 extensions, eliminating the need to change inner spindles in field retrofit situations. The barrel design provides a smoother chucking action resulting in longer life, up to 5 times that of the conventional lever mechanism. The optimum surface contact provided by the geometry of the barrel results in minimal friction and a cool running system. The symmetrical design of the total system provides perfect balance resulting in reduced spindle vibration at high speed.
